Thanks so much for this information. Since I posted this query, I've learned much more about Buffalo and its genealogy resources and am excited that St. Stephens records have been microfilmed although it will be some time before I make to Buffalo to search them.

The Home seems to have experienced several changes over the years and still have had no luck tracking any records there.

Turns out my George also used the surnames of Debo and Diebold and have just now begun to figure his tree out!
