Kim,
One of my favorite relatives was a gentleman by the name of Ely McIntire who was a private in Captain Nathan Rowlee's Company of the Massachusetts Troops. When past 70 years of age, he would bring out his drum and call the old veterans to attention, knowing all the (old) beats of when he was sixteen. In 1805 he moved from Feeding Hills, Mass. to North Hamden and lived there until his death. I recently did some research on him and found his record of service along with about 58 others related to me. Is this something you would like? There are probably a lot more references to N. Hamden on the Delaware County site.
Let me know what your criteria is or we can discuss it.
