Phineas Allen Simmons. He died of typhoid fever. He was born in Harford, New York in aprox. 1828.
He is buried in Section D. Site 3095 of the Hampton National Cemetery, Hampton, Virginia, United States
He shows up in Harford ,NY 1850 UNDER Allin Simmons in the Andrew Purvis household near two Simmons families that of George P Simmons and wife Margaret,I have excluded George as the father given his will 1854 does not mention him, however it does not exclude a son Philaster born 1804.
Also near by are Daniel Simmons born 1810 MA.
In 1830 in Virgil is a Martha -Matha (sic) Simons, Virgil, 2 males under 5-
supposing Phineas was born in Harford and Harford being organized in 1845 from Virgil he would have had to have been in Virgil in 1828.
I wonder if there were various spellings such as Seamons,Simonds in Virgil 1830.Unfortunately I havent access to that census.
If anyone can lend an idea who Phineas belongs to please let me know. One more note the pedigree resource file from family search lists him as a son of Milo Simmons, does anyone know him?
