I am looking for information on William Wallace Tolley Born 1825 and Jane L. Tolley Born 1835 ( maiden name unknown ) Married and Born in New York State Lived in Hudson Ward 1, Columbia ,NY and S.F. Calif. they had 5 children in all born in S.F. Calif. George T. Tolley, William W. Tolley, Kate D. Tolley, Fredrick Tolley, Charles H. Tolley. The whole family disappeared between 1875 - 1880 except for Kate D. and the 2 youngest boys Fredrick age 9 and Charles age 6 who were inmates in 1880 in Hudson, Columbia New York and Kate ( Cathrine ) lived with her Grand. Uncle Benjamin Haviland according to the 1900 Census in Herkimer Township NY. How the 3 children got from S.F. Calif.to here is a mystery. I know William Tolley left to Californina in 1849 and Jane L. followed in 1851 by the Oregon Trail. I am looking for any information on the family to help with my family tree. I would love to find out Jane L. Maiden Nameand place of marriage.
