I have a Clinton County Civil War mystery I am trying to clear up. Moses Bombard had 2 brothers named Charles and Thomas who may have fought in Louisiana (Red River Campaign?) during the Civil War. Charles married an Alabama woman named Olivia "Annie" Davis and he died circa 1880 in Louisiana. They lived in DeSoto Parish. Evidently he never returned to Clinton County. I am unable to find out anything about his brother, though. Did he return to Clinton County after the Civil War?
