I am seeking information on the birthplace and parentage and death record of Charlotte Clymer (1827-12 Feb 1867) who married Benjamin Franklin Herrick (1823-???). Charlotte and her 2 sons are buried in Woodlawn Cemetery. Census records show Charlotte's probable mother Mary Clymer living with them in 1860, after which I can find no record of her. It is probable that Mary was married to an ARMSTRONG before marrying (unknown) Clymer. Armstrong family lore says that Mary was related to a Declaration of Independence signer, probably George Clymer

I may have some information for you. My husband is a decendant of Benjamin and Charlotte. As far as I know they had 3 children; William F. born abt 1849 - Benjamin F. 1847 and Bertha Mary 8 Dec 1857. Bertha married William Newton Bowman on 26 June 1878. They had 5 sons. They moved to Denver, Colorado and she died 24 Sept 1890.

Mary was living with them in 1860 in Elmira, New York. She was 78 yrs old.
