ANNIS, Bertha B., 83, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012, in Sebring, Florida. She was born in Bemus Point, New York, on July 1, 1928, to Martin and Anna (Stanton) Bloss. Mrs. Annis was a homemaker, member of Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1976 coming from New York State. She is survived by her daughters, Doris Ann Miller (Paul) of Avon Park, Florida, and Ellen Marie Kane (Niel Magro) of Albany, New York; son, Hubert Victor Brown (Denise) of Frostproof, Florida; step-son, Rowland Annis (Bobby) of Deerborn Heights, Michigan; 10 grand-children; and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Annis was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Annis; her parents; a sister, Helen Whitehill; and a great-grand-daughter, Elizabeth Rose Miller. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church, with Rev. George Hall officiating.
