HATHAWAY, Emma M., 91, of Sebring, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Mrs. Hathaway was born June 23, 1920, in Brocton, N.Y., and moved to Sebring in 1987 from Fredonia, N.Y. She enjoyed crocheting, was a homemaker and had worked as a teacher's aide in the Fredonia District Schools. Survivors include her loving husband of over 61 and a half years, Jim; a son, Jim (Millie) Hathaway; daughters, Judy (Michael) Kurtz and Susan (Thomas) Eckbloom; sister, Rita Belmondo; 4 grandchildren, Paula (Jerry) Mosier, Douglas Eckbloom, Rebecca (Michael) Martin and Christa Hathaway; along with 4 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hathaway was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mary Cimasi and Louise Burgun; and 1 grand-son, Bryan Kurtz. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, April 27, 2012, in the Chapel of Peace at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park.
