Found this on Ancestry.com - don’t know if this is your Walter or not –
The june 2, 1931 issue of the
Dunkirk Observer mentions a utility pole crashing killing one man, Walter Cardot, and seriously injuring a secon, Walter
Miller, age 42, of Jamestown.
The next day’s issue states that Walter
Miller, age 36, of
Harding Heights, Jamestown later died of his injuries. It mentions he was survived by a wife and five children. He was a lineman for the
Niagara, Lockport, and Ontario Power Company.
The 1930 census lists two Walter Miller’s – Walter and
Blanche in Jamestown and another Walter in nearby
Ellery. Can't tell from the discrepancy in ages, which one this is. No obituary mentioned – would likely be in the Jamestown paper.
