PJ: Oct., 1996: Dunkirk: Clara E. Kesby Warner, 82, formerly of the Hotel Jamestown Apartments, died at 11:29 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 1996, in the Chautauqua County Home.
A lifelong Jamestown area resident, she was born July 10, 1914, in the town of Ellery, the daughter of Eugene and Gertrude Rhodes Ingerson.
Prior to retirement in 1969, she was employed as a clerk and buyer for the former Bigelow's Department Store. She was activities coordinator at the Hotel Jamestown Apartments and was a member of the American Association of Retired Seniors Volunteer Program, the Golden Age Society and its travel club.
Surviving are two daughters: Beverly Reinbold of Fillmore and Carole Pegan of Bemus Point; a son, Harold Kesby of Deland, Fla.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Matrion Ingerson, and two sisters: Florence Murdock and Bernice Lipsey, all of Bemus Point.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Kesby on July 4, 1961; her second husband, Agney Warner; a daughter, Shirley Swanson on April 29, 1996, and two brothers: Merton and Glenn Ingerson.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Bemus Point United Methodist Church. The Rev. Daniel G. McBride, pastor, will officiate. Inurement will be in the Dewittville Cemetery.
Visitation will not be observed.
