FREWSBURG - Norman B. ''Brad''
Sitler, 66, of 20 Center St., died Tuesday (Sept 2, 2003) in WCA Hospital. He was born Aug. 25, 1937, in Jamestown, the son of the late Ray and Neva
Barber Sitler. He was a 1955 graduate of Frewsburg High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He earned an associate's degree in applied science from Jamestown Community
College. He retired from
DeBell Vending/AVI Foods Systems in 2000 after 25 years of service. He was a life member of the Frewsburg Volunteer Fire Department and a life member of the Samuel L. Derby Post 556, American Legion, where he served as treasurer and on the board of directors for 10 years. He was a member of the Farm
League, coached Little
League and
Babe Ruth baseball for nine years, and was a former officer of the Frewsburg Little
League. He was a member of the the Jamestown
Moose, the Jamestown War Vets and the
Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. He served as a foster parent and as scoreboard operator for Frewsburg High School football. He enjoyed his cat,
Buzz, and was a longtime season ticket holder for summer productions at
Struthers Library Theater in Warren. He loved his children and family very much. His sense of humor made him countless friends throughout the region. He enjoyed his involvement and friendships at the Frewsburg American Legion. He was an avid sports fan. He is survived by a daughter, Lisa
Sitler Housemann of Frewsburg; two sons: Randy
Sitler of Frewsburg and Doug
Sitler of Buffalo; a sister, Naomi
Inwood of Jamestown; and his companion, Carol
Rawson of Jamestown. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the
Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. The Rev. Timothy
Phelps, pastor of
Falconer United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in
Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Frewsburg Fire Department; or Hospice of
Chautauqua County.
