Abiram Babcock To David H. Austin 3 Scipio 50 acres} This Indenture made the fifth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen Between Abiram Babcock of the Town Scipio in the County of Cayuga and Susannah his wife of the first part and David H. Austin of the same place of the second part witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of twelve hundred and fifty dollars lawful money of the united states of america to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold remised released aliened and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain and sell remise release alien and confirm unto the said party of the second part in their actual possession now being and to their heirs and assigns for ever all that certain piece or parcel of land situate on lot number three in the said Town of Scipio Known and distinguished by being the survey fifty acres on said lot and out of the south west corner of the same Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest property claim or demand whatsoever of the said party of the first part either in law or equity of in and to the above described premises with the said hereditaments and appurtenances To have and to hold the said premises above particularly mentioned and described to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the sole and only proper use benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns for ever and the said parties of the first part for their heirs executors and administrators do covenant grant promise and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns the above bargained premises in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against the said parties of the first part their heirs and assigns and against all and every person or persons whatsoever lawfully or equitably claiming or to claim the whole or any part thereof will for ever warrant and defend In witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written – }
