Charles Britten Johnson & his wife Elizabeth lived in Binghamton around 1820 to 1835, I beleive. He & his wfe were both b in Clun, Shropshire, UK. His 2 daughters on the 1851 census in UK are shown as British Subjects born in Binghamton, Broome Co, Emily Evans Johnson in 1831 & Elizabeth Hughes Britten Johnson 1833. I have found Charles wrote 2 books on The British Settlement in Susquahanna Co & they dated him as 1788?-1835. I cannot find any of the family on any passenger lists but his 2 daughters are back in UK by 1837 being christened. Can anyone please advise me how to find when they arrived in the US & when they left, & find the births of these 2 children. They were married in 1808 & I can only find these 2 daughters born to them in the 1830's, I feel sure there must have been more before these 2. Is there a someway I can find out if they had other children born to them in the US & if Charles died in the US in 1835? Thank you for any help you are able to give me. Roz.
