My grandfather and I are looking for his lost cousin Ragnhild Cook (nee Kallberg) who according to her petition for naturalizaton lived on 1440 Wood Rd Bronx N.Y. in 1945. The only thing we know after 1945 is that she lived in New York when her grandmother passed away in 1949.
Ragnhild came to NYC as a swedish emigrant in 1923 with her mother Elsa Kallberg and her older sister Anna Maja (born in 1919), joining their father John Adolph Kallberg who had arrived the year before. Accordning to the 1930 federal census the family lived in Bridgewater, Somerset, New Jersey by then, but the year after they'd returned to New York and states the address 206 E 57th Str when they return from a holiday to Sweden.
After 1931, the next lead I have is the record I've found here on Ancestry, the card from the Index to Petitions for Naturalizaton with the date June 4 1945.
I know she had married by then, but I unfortunately don't know the given name of her spouse or her addresses before (or after) that date. I don't know the date or year of her marriage.
Any help that could give me more information about Ragnhild, her husband and children (?) would
be greatly appreciated since I feel we've hit a brick wall here, and it would mean a lot to me to solve this family mystery for my grandfather.
Ragnhild was born in Sweden May 10 1922.
Thank you.
