FRIENDSHIP COUPLE ENTERTAINED ON 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Friendship, Oct 19. -- Forty-seven guests were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Carlton D. CRANDALL, Wednesday afternoon and evening at their home in the Nile Road, the occasion being their golden wedding anniversary. The celebration was arranged by Mrs. Charles Irvin MONROE and Mrs. W. Harry BURDICK, both of Friendship, daughters of the couple.
Present among the forty-seven guests were three of the seven living persons, who attended the marriage of Miss Minnie A. GREEN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George GREEN to Carlton D. CRANDALL, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joel B. CRANDALL, both of Little Genesee.
The ceremony, on October 16, 1879, was solemnized in the log cabin in which the groom was born, and then occupied by Mr. and Mrs. W. R. MAXSON.
Mr. CRANDALL recently celebrated his seventy-first birthday, while Mrs. CRANDALL is seventy years of age.
The couple have resided here for the past twenty-five years, coming here form Little Genesee.
Two daughters, two granddaughters and four grand-sons are included in the immediate family circle.
