Deaths were supposed to be reported in 1886, so there is a record somewhere. If it were me, I would call the Town of Glen Clerk and ask if they have a local record or knew who did have it.

Glen also has a town historian who might be able to help. He is Steve Helmin but is only available on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. 518 853-3118.

If you send in your request for a death certificate you will wait months for it to arrive. I live locally and alway drop off my requests directly at the service window at Vital Records.
