Mrs. Myrna Lou (Kirksey) Kukura, 69, of Newport died Tuesday, October 27, 2009.

She was born August 23, 1940 at Jackson County, the daughter of Harvey and Cora Mae (White) Kirksey.

Mrs. Kukura was a homemaker, and a member of the Holden Avenue Church of Christ. She was a member of Kiwanis Club, and enjoyed making porcelain dolls, sewing, and crocheting.

Mrs. Kukura was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Tony Kirksey; and one stepson, Andrew D. Kukura.

Survivors include her husband, Andrew Kukura; daughters, Cheryl (Wilson) Cook of Athens, Ga., and Phyllis (Wilson) Morgan of Tuckerman; stepson, Stephen Kukura; stepdaughters, Kimberly Ann Ritter, Kris Moore, Donna Wriscics, Andrea Kukura, Lisa Barker and Jackie Stephenson; sisters, Wilma Marks, Etta Dunn, Brenda Rice and Lynette Free; daughter-in-law, Kathy Kukura; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Johnstown.

Cora Mae KIRKSEY NEWPORT -- Cora Mae KIRKSEY, 86, of Newport died Wednesday. She was born June 27, 1919 at Pennington. Survivors include a son, Larry KIRKSEY of Newport; five daughters, Wilma Marks of San Antonio, Myrna Kukura of Newport, Etta Mae Dunn of Diaz, Brenda Rice of Campbell Station and Lynette Free of Cabot; a half-sister, Titus Mann of Newport; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday. Arrangements are by Jackson's Newport Funeral Home, www.jacksonsfh.com .
