Cornelius Cooper was born in Iowa abt. 1853. He followed his other brothers; Theo, Will, and Watson out west to Arizona and New Mexico where they were in mining. They had a mine in Dos Cabezas, AZ in the 1880s, 90s. It is said Cornelius ventured to Silver City, N.M. where at some point he got "involved in the skirts of a Senorita" and someone shot him. I am assuming he was buried somewhere in that vicinity. Does anyone know of his existence? Where he might be buried and how to find that place? Was there a newspaper report? This could have happened in the 1880's or 1890's.
