Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, EMILIA “MOLLY” GRIEGO RAMIREZ, age 73, lifelong resident of Anthony passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Center for Compassionate Care West Hospice El Paso with her loving family at her bedside. She was born October 15, 1944. Molly, as she was fondly known to her family and friends was a “BIG” Elvis and Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed dancing the jitterbug and telling jokes. She was an avid bowler and loved to play softball. Her career would include that of a school bus driver for Gadsden I.S.D. and was retired from Canutillo I.S.D. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and devoted her life to being a wife, mother and grandmother. Her passion was serving her family, which she did without hesitation and with Love.
Those left to mourn her passing include her loving husband of eleven years, David Ramirez of the family home; a son, Erik F. Fresquez (Roselynn) of El Paso, TX; two daughters, Teresa “Terri” Fresquez of Las Cruces, NM and Cynthia Salazar (Daniel) of Canutillo, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; three stepsons, David Ramirez (Lupe) of Denver City, TX, George Ramirez (Becky) of Las Cruces, NM, and Ramon Ramirez (Cecilia) of Berino, NM; three stepdaughters, Kelly Hernandez (Rudy) Dolores Moralez (Jacob) and Estella Ramirez (Diane) all of Anthony, TX; four sisters, Maria Luisa Marquez (Ruben), and Ofelia Reyes all of Anthony, NM, Marta Terrazas (Armando) of San Diego, CA, and Antonia “Tonie” Jester (Ray) of El Paso, TX; Other survivors include eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; numerous step grand and great-grandchildren. Molly was preceded in death by her mother, Eulalia “Mo” Griego; two brothers, Reymundo “Tober” and Ramiro “Milo” Moralez; and a sister, Alicia Telles.
Visitation for Molly will begin at 10 AM Monday, November 13, 2017 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 224 Lincoln Avenue in Anthony where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 10:30 AM. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated immediately thereafter. Cremation will follow and Inurnment of Cremains will be held at a later date.
Serving as casket bearers will be Cesar Duron, and her nephews; Rico and Serafin Telles, Steve Moralez, Jose Marquez, Rick Llañez, Ray Anthony Moralez, Rafael Reyes, Ralph and Orlando Terrazas. Honorary bearers will be Molly’s grandchildren, Patrick, Vincent and Isabella Salazar, Josiah Limon, Noah and Moses Fresquez and Antoinette and Ariel Arevalo.
