Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Elpidia Cardenas, age 55, lifelong resident of Las Cruces passed from this life on Saturday, July 8, 2017 in Escondido, California surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 31, 1961 to Ernesto M. and Micaela Delgado Cardenas. Elpidia was employed at American Linen and Uniform Supply as a distributor.
Those left to mourn her passing include two daughters, Robin and Kimberly Cardenas; a brother, Lorenzo Cardenas; five sisters, Manuela Ytuarte of Las Vegas, NV, Tina Rubalcava (Mario), Eva Cardenas and Norma Cardenas all of Las Cruces, and Lupe Margosiak of Escondido, CA. Other survivors include two granddaughters, Anastacia and Laurie Cardenas; a special friend, Sofia Parra; a special cousin, Maria Araceli Delgado, both of also of Las Cruces; three nieces, Michelle Solis, Amanda Margosiak and Christina Solis; three nephews, Joey Ytuarte, Thomas Margosiak and Brandon Cardenas. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, George Cardenas.
Visitation will begin at 6 PM Monday, July 17, 2017 in Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, where the Evening is scheduled for 7 PM. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 10 AM in the same chapel with Pastor Ralph Alvillar officiating. Concluding Service and Interment will follow in San Albino Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
Serving as casket bearers will be Michelle Solis, Joey Ytuarte, Amanda Margosiak, Thomas Margosiak, Brandon Cardenas, Oscar Tinajero, Mario Rubalcava and Jesse Navarro. Honorary bearer will be Sam Quintanilla.
