It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear beloved faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Tomasita "Tommie" Galindo Cuaron, age 71, of Las Cruces on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 3, 1946 in Kingsville, TX to Jose R. and Esther Bazan Galindo. "Tommie", as she was affectionately known, retired from Las Cruces Public Schools as a food service manager and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and Senior Circle.
Those left to mourn her passing include her loving husband of forty-five years, Jacobo "Jack" M. Cuaron of the family home; a daughter, Cristina Cuaron of El Paso, TX; a son, Daniel Cuaron (Magda) of Chandler, AZ; a brother, Baldemar Galindo (Lisa) and a sister, Norma Mata (Cruz) all of Kingsville, TX. Other survivors include two grandchildren, Roman and Catalina Cuaron, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tommie was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Maria Garza.
At her request cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held at 9 AM Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1240 S. Espina Street. Inurnment of cremains will follow immediately thereafter in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Columbarium.
