I have a collection of books that date back to John Hackett, of which Hackettstown is named. The books date back to 1802, and are in good condition. Every book has a "Hackett" personal note or signature. Also "Hackett's Church" is also referenced. I am offering this collection as a whole for sale, and am interested in finding out more about the Hackett family from John Hackett to date.

Do the Hackett's in your book have anything to do with the Hackett's of North Carolina or Pennsylvania

You posted this ten years ago-just wondering if it's still available and if you came across one Margaret Hackett born in Hackettstown who was disowned in that she married a farmer George Brown and had a child with him...Mary Ann Brown. Mr. Brown died soon thereafter and she remarried John Seale. I believe her father's name was John Hackett and John's father was George Hackett. Thanks, Lynn
