Hi all,
I'm looking for any information on the Frank family of Union County - Albert and Ella (Donaldson) Frank.

They moved to the area in 1910/1911 from New York.

Their first two daughters, Mathilda and Helen - were born in Brooklyn and Queens, then their next three children, Albert Theodore (1911), Catherine/Katherine Louise (1914, Garwood) and Agnes (1915) were born in Union County.

Katherine is my great-grandmother, later married as Bean and then Bruneau.

They show up on the 1920 Census as a complete family in Westfield, then are scattered in the 1930 Census as some of the children are married (Mathilda Gilcher, Helen Hallenbeck and later Finter), one is living with neighbors (Agnes, later married as Smolinksy), one is possibly in the North Jersey Training School (Katherine - though this is not confirmed as she had my grandmother a few years later, so she may have been on her way to Massachusetts by 1930) and I cannot find the son or the parents. I know the son was still alive - I've heard from his descendants - but the parents are possibly deceased.


Anyway, I'm looking for any information at all, but ideally would love to have birth and/or death records for the family so I can either confirm that they passed away in the timeframe we think or perhaps have more information to track them from birth records.


Any suggestions as to where to start? I've sent away to Garwood City Hall for my great-grandmother's birth certificate.
