MAHLON A. BUTLER

Mahlon A Butler, died at his home on 26 Sussex Street, Friday, night after a lingering illness. He was born at Augusta, October 21, 1861 and was in his 79th year. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Butler and has lived in Sussex all his life. Mr. Butler was a paperhanger and house painter. He is survived by his wife Florence Baylor Butler, a daughter Mrs. Charles Waldron, of Vineland two sons, Ira and Mahlon Jr. of Newton. There are fifteen grandchildren. He was twice married, his first wife was Carrie VanSyckle, of Baleville. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at his late home and were in charge of Capt. Carlson and Lieut. Moody of the Salvation Army of Newton. Interment was in the family plot in the Newton cemetery.

i have mahlon bailey, son of nicholas. nicholas bailey son of william and sarah warford bailey. all of kingwood new jersey. not much more info. i am related through barvillia born 1803 to william the oldest son of william and hannah. this info is from will of eldest william bailey. let me know if this is yours. linda learn

Only info I have on Mahlon is that his wife's lst name was Susan. Their daughter Lydia married my gg grandfather Phillip Yetter. They lived in and around Sussex Cty, NJ.

Is this the record that lists some of the children as Lizzie, Annie, Cora and Ella?

I believe that Ella was my great grandmother.
