ALBERT KNIGHT DEAD
Walpack Township Sustains the Loss of a Christian Gentleman and an Honored Resident.
(From the Walpack correspondent)
a gloom was cast over the community on Wednesday last, when it was learned that our friend and neighbor, Albert Knight has passed to his eternal home. Mr. Knight was a man that will be greatly missed, not only in his home, but in the surrounding neighborhood and in the church. He had been an Elder in the Reformed Church of Lower Walpack for twenty-five years, and of which he was an earnest worker and supporter. Mr. Knight was aged about 72 years and had been in failing health for the passed year, but the change had been so gradual that his many friends could hardly realize that the end had come. Of his family he is survived by his widow, a daughter of the late Gersham Bunnell, of Walpack, and a cousin of Jacob L. Bunnell, of the New Jersey Herald, Newton; Mrs. Robert Craig, Jr., and Frank P. Bunnell, of Blairstown, and Assessor J. Wesley Bunnell of Walpack township, and a sister of Mrs. Jackson Bunnell of Waverly, N. Y., and one son, John B. at home, and one daughter, Annie, wife of Reeves Swartwout, of near Blairstown, and several grandchildren: one brother, Benjamin, of Walpack Center; two sisters, Mrs. Nathaniel Vanauken of Flatbrookville, and Miss. Getty Knight, of Port Jervis.
