Theodore Frederick Firehock, Sr. was my husband's ggg grandfather. He was born 3 Apr 1835 and died 1910. He married Sophia Matilda Boyd in 1866. Children were Frederick Boyd, Florence, Theodore Jr, William, Emily, Mary, George, Edwin, and Robert. I have also found early spelling of Firehock as Fairhock and Firehawk. We suspect that this was a Dutch family but have not been able to locate any immigration records. Any help would be appreciated on my part!

Thanks for reply.

Will review your information, however, the firehocks I am searching came from Scotland and migrated to USA about 1900.

Again, Thanks

Charles is corkey.lol.. He lost his wife in 2004. My heart goes out to him. I have found more since I posted a message earlyer. There is a Henry Firehook in Kensington Ward 2, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, census for 1840, that I believe may be Frederick the 1st father. Also I found some Fayeraux documents from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania I think this might be an original or very close to an original spelling of the last name. What do you think? Have you had any Luck on leads? Feel free to E-mail me anytime perrrfection2005@yahoo.com : ) Angela

I have no idea if anyone is still researching this but I found in a Grantor/Grantee index my family dealing with Frederick Firehawk in NYC and wanted to find out who he was.

*Grantor: William Slamm and others, Joseph Slamm and others and Levi D Slamm and Margaret his wife to *Grantee: Frederick Firehawk Lib. 403 Page 556 dated Feb 23, 1840 and recorded Apl. 4, 1840. Also one other from Levi D Slamm and Margaret his wife to Frederick Firehawk Lib. 403 Page 559 - same dates.
*Grantor: Frederick Firehawk to *Grantee: Trustees of Mary Slamm Dated Feb 24, 1840 and recorded Apl 4, 1840 Lib 403 pages 557 & 560.
My guess is the Frederick Firehawk was a lawyer.
