Robert G. Johnson and Hannah h/w, (late Carney, dau of Thomas Carney Esq, and Mary h/w)of Upper Penns Neck
to Isaac Wiley of Upper Penns Neck, Salem County, NJ

Whereas Thomas Carney and wife were lawfully seized to sundry plantations and tracts, and left 2 daughters, Ruth Cripps, wife of Benjamin and Hannah, wife of Robt. G. Johnson. A Division of the Orphans Court by order Sept 1792, and entered 12 June 1793.

For consideration of $1,000 current US specie, for tract # 10 as laid out by Commissioners.

Beginning at a post by the run of a small branch that puts of out of Salem Creek, about 15 chains above the head of the tide, being in the line of land late Katts, (the same run being the division between the Townships of Penns Neck and Pilesgrove).

Then bounding on said land N34*W 133 and 1/2 perches to a white oak tree marked 6 notches for a corner.

Then still by said land N15 and 3/4*E 114 perch to a post set at the root of the former corner (a white oak which tree now lying down with old marks) to an small hickory on the west side 3 feet now and marked 12 notches.

Then bounding on Joseph Borden's land S69*W for 39 perches to a flint stone on N side of road.

Then S72*W for 40 perches, crossing the road oblique to a post set for a corner.

Then S2 and 3/4*E 232 perches to Justice Williams lands to a stone and post set for a corner.

Then by Daniel Vanneman's lands S 38 and 1/2*E for 91 perches to a maple corner by west side of the aforesaid Run, formerly marked by a corner a little above the tied.

Thence up the run, the several courses thereof to the beginning. (By straight line about 45 perches)

Containing 100 acres of land and swamp with allowances for roads, more or less.
