On application of John
Hall, Samuel
Hall, & John Pledgor, Jr. to us the Subscribers, Surveyors of the Highways for the Township of Alloways
Creek and
Salem , desiring us to lay out a two rod road and to run into the
Kings Road by Edward Quinton's, we have thought it fit on said application to lay out the said two rod road as followeth:
Beginning at a branch near to the said John Pledger's plantation and so running along the Old Road til it comes to the corner of Samuel Fogg's wheat field, being a tree marked three notches; from thence down the stile over the bank and bridge by Samuel Fogg's house along fence, to the line of fence between Samuel
Fogg and Edward
Quinton, thence turning on the left hand to the line of fence straight down to the now standing field fence belonging to said Edward
Quinton, then leaving the fence to the left hand and so running a due course into the King's Road by said Edward

Pledger, consenting and agreeing to erect two new lawful swinging gates. one on the
Kings Road and the other near Samuel Fogg's fence, the said swinging gates to be upheld and kept up by the said John
Hall, Samuel
Hall and John
Pledger, them or either of them or their or either of their Heirs at their own proper costs and charges so long as it shall continue a two rod road as aforesaid.
