I've come across some photos my mother took after the flood of 1940 and thought they might be of interest to someone.
She wrote on the back of this one:
Ballinger's Mill: shows house torn apart by flood from dam. Mother and baby drowned. Mrs. Zora CRISPIN - maiden name Green. Sept. 1, 1940.
