Charles Haluska Sr.,62, of 69 Pacific Av, Garfield, died yesterday at home after a long illness. Survivors are wife, Mary; daughter Mrs. Stephen Santo of Garfield, son Charles, Jr of Cleveland Ohio, two brothers Frank and Michael of Ashland Pa; sister Anna in West Virginia and five grandchildren. Mr Haluska came to Garfield from Czecho-Slovakia 45 years ago. He was formerly employed as a Watchman for Hartman Embroidery Co.,Garfield. He was a member of St. Michael's Society and St. Michael's Church.(The Herald News dated Feb 7, 1947)

Mary Haluska, 69 Pacific Av, died Friday after a long illness. Born in Czechoslovakia,she came to this country 53 years ago and settled here. Her husband Charles Haluska died 12 years ago. Mrs. Haluska was a parishioner of St. Michael's Greek Rite Catholic Church. Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Stephen (Mary) Santo of Garfield; a son Charles of Cleveland; 5 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Babyak of Garfield and another in Europe.
