My Ancestors from Middletown and Port Monmouth, NJ "Monmouth County"

Information From the Dennis Burial ground in Middletown, NJ (known as Pikes Cemetery of George Pike Farm off Harmony Road near the Coloinial Dennis Brickworks and across the street from the old Dennis Farmstead and original also mentions near the old Harmony School House.

Tombstone inscriptions re:
In Memory of George W. Wood, son of Charles D. Wood and Elisabeth Wood, who died Feb. 7th, 1869, aged 20 years.

In Memory of Elisabeth Wood, Daughter of Charles D. and Elisabeth Wood, who died July 14th 1858, age 27 years. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord"

n Memory of Ann Wood, Daughter of Charles D. and Elisabeth Wood, who died Jan. 11th 1857
"In Hope of a glorious resurrection"

In Memory of Phebe Wife of Thomas Smith who died Jan 15th,
1861, aged 71years, 3 months and 17 days.

Addie daughter of William and Deborah Ludlewilder June 8th 1875

Elisa Janes S. wife of Wm Dangler died June 29 1880 aged
55 years 1 mo. 21 days.

Mothers note; * "There is another DENNIS burying ground
back in woods on the other side of the street- In back of former Bennett farm, probably an older DENNIS graveyard"

*Two headstones were found in housing development part of the old Dennis Farmstead re:
Peter Cook Feb 25th, 1802 and his wife Elisabeth Dennis Cook (I was told only one headstone has survived.)

*I have another family note that says (Mr. Disney) (old Dennis Homestead) at bottom of the note says "This is my Daddys Grandfather"
*The note is not in my mothers hand wrighting so it may have been written by my Grandmother Alida Dennis?

*Found Pike Family of Mass moved to Middleton *(now Middletown), NJ and Sarah Pike was born in 1656 other Families mentioned are Ayers, Parker, Capt. Daniel Brittom *(Britton) Capt. Richard Cutter, etc.
There is mention of George W. Pike on pg. 9 & 23 of 29 Pike
