Seeking info on the George HOUSEL who marr. Mary McPHERSON (b. Abt 1826, NJ) who was a daughter of Asa McPHERSON. All were residents of Hunterdon Co. when George and Mary marr 7 Jan 1852.

In Dec 1859 this George HOUSEL, identified as a resident of Cherryville, was arrested for passing bad money in both NJ & PA. After trial, he was imprisoned in PA.

His father-in-law Asa McPHERSON brought a foreclosure suit against George after his conviction and imprisonment. George appealed and the resulting case, McPherson v. Housel, 2 Beas. (13 N. J. Eq.) 35 (1860), is still cited today.

Mary (nee McPHERSON) and George HOUSEL reportedly had four children: Mary (or Martha), Henry, Eliza and George Trout HOUSEL. All children apparently born between 1852 and 1860.

Seeking information re: any and all of the persons mentioned above.
