I am researching descendants of John Burke...born 1865 in Staffordshire England....he emigrated to America around the early 1880s with his brother Patrick...they both worked their passage across. I believe they had around 10 children each but I only know of three of John's....Elizabeth Ellen....Ethel and Frank. Elizabeth was in contact with my mother up to the 1950s and her last know address there was in Atlantic City NJ. Elizabeth married an Edward J Fetherstone who died on 3rd May 1950...I believe her sister Ethel lived in PA. I have pictures of them on my website...www.geocities.com/jamum/search.html. One of the pictures shows a young Elizabeth Ellen taken in a studio in MO...I have found a naturalisation record for a John Burke dated 1882 but also have found one dated 1884 in NY. Did your John have a brother Patrick? I seem to keep hitting dead ends here....is it possible your John is the John I am looking for.
