I want to get the message correct on the address for Genealogical and Historical Research in the Windber-Paint Twp. area of Somerset County, Pa.
The address given for Mine #30 is an old address where a secretary for an now no longer in existence society lived.
That society has changed to a Johnstown organization and we do have some of the old records at the Windber Library. There is no researcher or organization there.
There is however a Windber Area Historical Committee with a historical newsletter at the Windber Museum and we are very much interested in sharing and learning about the families that came into Windber so that they can be recorded and preserved in the Museum Records.
