Assuming you are talking about the Horace Headley/Hadley who married Charlotte P. Wiley and lived in Alloway, Salem, NJ in 1860, along with wife Charlotte and children George S, Robert W, and Charles P, you might consider broadening your search to include Hadley vs Headley. That's how he appears in the 1860 census and his son George S. uses Hadley in 1900 and 1920.
