I think I remember seeing this post somewhere else and I was intrigued---in the last post you had the full address. I live with a Vineland-born Davis, and the family tree is large and pretty unkempt, so to speak. I went to look for the 27 Columbia Ave address, and couldn't find it--they had #25 and #29 but no 27 and the space between the houses wasn't large enough to accomidate another!

I can tell you one thing: the Davis' tend to like to name their children after each other: R could stand for "Raymond" of which there were 3 that I know of. When my husband's father died, an aunt lent us a bunch of pictures, and I do remember one from a family reunion that was labeled "Dolly." And the other thing: the Davis' in this family are extremely religious, and their were quite a few bible-thumpers from the 1890s-1950s.
