I did not find Samuel Monroe in Lakeland General Hospital or Lakeland Farms in Gloucester in the 1940 Census (which is 4-59). I did find a James Monroe in Lakeland General Hospital - age 57 (1883), born in Pennsylvania, widow (on page 6 of 10). I don't know if he is related, but I thought I'd tell you anyway.
