I am looking for any information anyone may have on John King and Mary Ann Wilson. They married 3 Nov. 1832 in Vincentown, Burlington County New Jersey. They had five children: John b.1835; Anna Jane b.1837; Joseph Wilson b. 1839; Charles Henry b. 1843 and Lewis Mingin b. 1847. This King family moved to Jackson County, Wisconsin in 1856 and settled in the Black River Falls, Hixton area. Lewis is my direct decendent and he eventually moved to Montana in the 1880s. Anna Jane married Herman Henry Pray and they eventually moved to Albany, Georgia around 1895-1900 to be near their son, John King Pray and his wife Cora Marion Mortiboy. Joseph Wilson married Deborah Hoffman and they lived in and around Wisconsin, John married Mary Emily Hoffman - she died in 1870 - and I believe he remarried a Margaret Vose or Voose in that same year. They lived in Minnesota. Charles Henry was a Union soldier during the Civil War. He married Rebecca Smith and they had one son, Lewis W. King. Charles died in either 1872 or 1873. Rebecca remarried and moved to Texas with Lewis W.

I am trying to find information more on where John King and Mary Ann Wilson came from. The 1850 census in Burlington County, New Jersey states they were both born in New Jersey. I have not been able to come up with any solid leads as of yet. According to John King's headstone, he was 53 years and 18 days at his death on May 6, 1864. I figured that would put his birth date to April 18, 1811. I figured Mary Ann's birth year to 1814.

If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it very much.
I have more information going forward and would be more than willing to share.

Thanks, Pam (King) Naas
