I can confirm that Victor's children David Genberg and Esther Agnes Genberg Carlson (married to Otto Carlson) continued to live in Englewood in the late 50s. In the late 80s, Esther lived in Fanwood, NJ, but her mind was in poor condition, so she couldn't share much. She died in 1992. David's girls, Marilyn b.39 and Janice b.41, went to high school in Englewood with my mother and aunts. David Morrow H.S. Other children of David were Lorraine, Robert, Keith, Rick, and David. I know at least three of these children (Lorraine, David, and Janice) are now deceased. And Marilyn Margaret Genberg married a Clinton Leroy David. Since I'm researching this family in an attempt to find the family line of my great grandfather Edward Johnson (update: I have found his line; his family name is Knös) who was raised by and emigrated with the Genbergs, I happened on this old thread and thought I'd share what I know about more recent generations. Adele Ellen Genberg Warren married Howard E. Warren and had children Howard B. Warren, Joan, and Thomas. I believe Adelle died around 1975, and her sons are both dead. One died in 2001, and the other in 2010. Adele had lived in Oradell, Nj. for some time.
When my mom was about 9, her family went with “Cousin Deallie” and Joan to Camp of the Woods in Ny. Deallie often camped in tents, which astounded my mother, but this time they stayed in a cabin. Highlights to a 9 year old included observing the spider on the huge nest outside their cabin each night, seeing the sawdust covered blocks of ice outside in the middle of summer, and singing choruses and hymns with Deallie and Joan the whole ride home.
