Avis C. Davis, PEMBROKE

PEMBROKE-Avis C. Davis, 81, died Wednesday at Concord Hospital
from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was born in Orono, Maine, the
daughter of George and Inez (Beal) Curtis. She worked for New Hampshire
Home Builders for several years before becoming a co-owner of Epoch
Homes of Pembroke. Davis was a longtime member of the Pembroke
Women's Club. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Senior Center at the
YMCA and for the Arthritis Foundation of Concord. Survivors include two
daughters, Patricia Laughlin of Loudon and Jane Swanson of Pembroke; a
brother, Newton Curtis of Westbrook, Maine; four grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her husband, Warren
Davis, died previously. Calling hours will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at
Bennett Funeral Home, 2009 N. Main St., Concord. A funeral service will be
held Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. William Keefe will
officiate. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Pembroke. In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations can be made to 22Q13 Deletion Syndrome
Foundation on behalf of her grandson, Jason Levesque. Donations can be sent
