Edna M. Pierce, 99, of Nashua, died Nov. 16, 2000, at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson.
Mrs. Pierce was born April 22, 1901, in Rochester, daughter of the late Richmond L. and Lilla B. (Heath) Marshall. She had resided in Nashua for more than 65 years.
She was the widow of Arthur J. Pierce, whom she married July 19, 1936. He died in 1980.
Mrs. Pierce was a homemaker. Prior to her marriage, she had been employed by Speare Dry Goods in Nashua.
She was a member of the YWCA Auxiliary.
Mrs. Pierce attended the Unitarian-Universalist Church in Nashua, and she was a member of the Women’s Alliance of the church.
She was a graduate of Berwick Academy in South Berwick, Maine.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, A. David Pierce of Nashua, with whom she lived, and James M. and Judith F. Pierce of Woodstock, Vt.; a daughter and son-in-law, Martha P. and Arthur L. Barrett of Nashua; five grandchildren, John P. Barrett of Nashua, Steven L. Barrett and his wife, Patricia, of Amherst, Tracy J. Barrett of Seattle, Wash., Sara F. Pierce of Woodstock and Lindley A. Pierce of South Boston, Mass.; and a great-grandson, Trevor R. Barrett of Amherst.
The Davis Funeral Home in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
