Researching Thomas Bickford who was known as a "Shipwright"
in land and deed and property records in Newbury,MA.
He bought land in 1741 and then disappeared from the records
until he appears in 1747 on the First Religious Society
church records with a chr. of a Joseph Bickford there.
It then follows in 1749 a son Thomas listed as age 2
and then Abigal and then John and then Mary. Joseph married
Dorothy Cheney, John Married Joanna Pettingell and Abigail
married James Chase. The childrens chr. are from 1747 to
1757 and then his name Thomas Sr. disappears...again....
tough guy to research and follow....
On these deeds and property listings in Newbury was a woman
with the name of Abigail..she seems like she must be the wife and mother. The only Thomas and Abigail Bickford
i have come across anywhere is in Boston, MA a marriage
in 1723...??Newbury is close to the NH line and he Thomas
Sr. Bickford may have close ties with NH or ME or VT that
would explain sudden comings and goings..????
This reserach challenge is still a brick wall even with these facts..can you help in any way ....?

Nancy, I wish I could help you but wonder if in your research you have come across anything on Issac Bickford& Sarah Jenness Bickford. Issac born about 1804. Son was Ira L. and born abt 1824. I am trying very hard to find them and their daughter Amanda Justina born March 27, 1855 in Rochester, Strafford, NH. Can you help?
