Joseph Whipple served in Hampton Falls, NH in the 1700's for 30 years. As often happened, he also performed marriages between people who were not 'of Hampton Falls'.
Can anyone point me to an answer as to whether he traveled during his years with Hampton Falls? Did he travel to other towns and perform marriages in those towns?
He performed a marriage between my ancestors Henry McIntire [transcribed as Mackentire] & Mrs. Mary Small on Oct. 18, 1744. There were not Smalls in H.Falls, we are told by Hampton Falls Historical Society. We also know that our Henry McIntire was living in Maine in 1744, in the town of Old Falmouth. So we, me and my distant McIntire cousins, of North Carolina, Texas and Australia, are wondering if Rev. Whipple might have performed the marriage was performed in Falmouth on that date. We are at a brick wall with Falmouth and Cumberland County, Maine towns.
Thank you.
