Info on ANNA WEBSTER born “abt 1743 of Chester, Rockingham, New Hampshire” married abt 1761 Moses Whittier (1739-1799) son of Reuben and Mary (Flanders) Whittier, of Salisbury, Essex, Massachusetts, and Readfield, Kennebec, Maine. This Anna WEBSTER Whittier is my 5th great-grandmother.
11 children (surnamed Whittier), born 1762-1782, first 8 apparently born Chester, Rockingham, NH; the last 2 in Raymond, Rockingham, NH: Moses, WEBSTER, Anna, Mary, Lydia, Abigail, Relief, Josiah, Josiah (again), and Beniah (male)
Above child #3, Anna Whittier b 11 Aug 1766, Chester, NH, md abt 1783 Willoughby Taylor, son of John Taylor and Elizabeth Rowe of Exeter and Hampton Falls, Rockingham County, NH; Willoughby and Anna (Whittier) Taylor moved to Mt Vernon, Kennebec County, Maine (Lincoln County, Maine is parent of Kennebec County, and some records are there). Anna Whittier Taylor died 1854 in Mt. Vernon, Kennebec, Maine. This daughter Anna is my ancestor.
Is the above Anna WEBSTER born “about 1743, of Chester, Rockingham, NH” related to the WEBSTER family of Hampton and Kingston, Rockingham County, NH? I am descended from this line, on another branch of my ancestry.
