I am searching for any information on James William Piper. I found his grave at Trinity Cemetery on Route 175 in Holderness, New Hampshire. According to his gravestone, he was born in 1841. His death certificate states his town of birth as Holderness, NH.....However, I have contacted the town clerks office there and they have no birth record for a James William Piper.

According to the 1880 US Census records, James William Piper was married by the time this census was taken and living in Plymouth, NH with is wife: Melissa L. Sawyer the daugher of Elbridge & Julia (Hanson) Sawyer.
