When you post, go ahead and just post the person's name, date of birth, place of birth, whatever you have on the person. A volunteer can check records to first try to identify exactly where a person died and is possibly buried. A good background of the person might identify they were buried somewhere beyond where believed.
For example, the Social Security Death Index identifies a "last residence." It is NOT necessarily where a person actually lived. The Social Security Administration calls it simply the "home of record." It is not necessarily where any benefit was paid to the person, survivor, or the lumpsum death benefit. It is sometimes the location where the notification of death was sent to the SSA, sometimes where the lump sum death benefit was sent.
So, post the information on the person and volunteers can see what if found.
