I have full dates from Mary Alice Springer - b. 10 May 1865 in Humboldt Co, died 28 Jan 1945 in Merced Co, Calif. Well, I only have the marriage year of 1885, for her marriage to Levi Flint Herrod. Do have Levi birth date of 17 Oct 1858, in Fayette Co, Penn. (Where the Springer were originally from. I am preparing the Springer family book. hence my interest.)

Found in one of the Humboldt Co, NV newspapers, Feb. 1895:

"Died in Paradise Valley, Feb. 3, Verna E., only daughter of Wm. & Emma Herrod, aged 8 years 27 days."

Also a small death article re: Verna Herrod, who died Feb. 3, the daughter of Prof. & Mrs. Herrod. Burial was in Paradise Valley.

I had read your reply about Springer marriages in Nevada!

Well I have two great-great aunts whom married Hendra men. Any way I believe the no I am sure Jane is their sister.

But in their mothers obit 1925 it lists her survivors but not Jane whom was her daughter but it lists her eldest child whom was James Hendra Jr. as James Springer of Simpson.

Trying to figure out if maybe he took wifes maiden name or wether it is a typo.

Jane Hendra Springer was born 10 Feb 1869 in Star City, Humboldt Co, Nevada. As she did not die until 5 Oct 1930 in Reno, Nevada it is strange she is not mentioned in her mother's obit of 1925. (I don't know the names of Jane's parents.) As Jane Hendra was married to Clarkson Freeman Springer her children would have the surname Springer. They were Alfred Elmer, Edgar Josiah, Solomon James, and Demaries Elizabeth Springer. I am interested in this family as I am preparing the Springer family book.

I have decided that the James should have been Jane.
Someone helped find that James passed in 1919. Any way I am going to Nevada the last week of August to do some on hands searching. Thank you for the information.
