She is buried in the Hill Crest Cemetery:

There are currently only 729 residents there. The 1920 Census shows 527 persons.

She was about 43 when she died. Finding an obit for her strongly depends on if there were family/friends in the area, a newspaper, and other factors.

MOST libraries do not do research, BUT, this is small town Nebraska. They "might" have a microfilm of the local newspapers at that time and could be reviewed via the Inter-library loan system.

The Thomas County Herald, PO Box 271, Thedford, NE 69166-0271. MOST newspapers do not do research...but again, this is small town Nebraska. They may not have been in publication in 1918.

Looking for grave of Abner A. Mitchell. Civil War records say he was buried in Thedford. I did a quick search on a visit once and could not find his grave. Perhaps buried on property of Allen and Mary (Mitchell)Richard who were taking care of him when he died on Dec. 12, 1910. Any help is appreciated.

Her father was Nathan Thomas mother Margaret Metts she married William Tolle. She was born 2-6-1815 died 1884. Would like more information about her and her father-family. She was married in Kentucky, and had some of her children in Indiana, Missouri and buried in Neb., at some point they had to settle there, most the the decendents from Neb.

In 1886 Irvin located a claim two miles east of Thedford on the Loup. He had always been a man of influence, being one of the committee that organized Thomas county. He organized the first school district, was justice of the peace for several years, and also served as county judge for two terms.

Berton & Mary Darrow (ca. 1900-1920) Thedford/Seneca

I am seeking information about Berton Darrow, his wife Mary and daughter Lola. The three of them appear in the 1900 Thedford census. Only Berton and Mary appear in the 1920 census.

Berton worked for the newspaper and later was into real estate. He owned the building which housed the County Offices after fire distroyed the the main county office.

I am especially interested in whether Berton and Mary died in Thedford or Seneca. Also would be interested in what happened to Lola.
