How interesting! Yes, I do have some information on Quartus B. Skinner who was the first cousin of my grandfather, Quartus Monroe Skinner. Quartus Monroe Skinner was the son of Alva Green Skinner, Sr., and Margaret Emily Baker Skinner. Alva's younger half brother was a man named Orange Skinner, born about 1850, the son of Juliana Sweet Skinner and Quartus Brown Skinner, Sr., born in NY about 1827. Orange married a widow named Evaline Simerly Smith; to that union was born one son--your Uncle Quartus Brown Skinner. Both your Uncle Quartus B. Skinner (the younger Q.B. Skinner) and my grandfather Quartus M. Skinner lived in the Gordon area at the same time and were the grandsons of the first Quartus Brown Skinner.

I actually have a newspaper photo of your uncle Quartus B. Skinner from the Gordon Journal around 1916. If you would like me to email you more information, send it to lynda_turner72@yahoo.com

I look forward to exchanging information. Thanks!
