This is a long shot, but I'm going to ask anyway.

Does anyone remember John (Jack) Gehrken, a farm hand, growing up? He moved to several places from 1918 onwards, he was born in 1900. I'm interested in somehow trying to retrace the farms he might have worked on. He never married, and passed away in 1986. I have his old scrapbook, filled with pictures of farms and kids, etc, but of course there aren't captions and no way of telling who they are.

He had a glass eye - maybe something a kid would remember instead of a name, etc.

His obit states that he worked in Papillion, Springfield, Gretna, Murray, Nebraska City, and Union.
